Fresh face with a slipping problem

Howdy, name's Dan and I've been handed the keys to a 2019 Atlas SEL from my older brother who said it ran like new. Problem is, anytime 1 wheel hits a slick or loose patch, the whole thing acts like it's done for. Wondering if this is how these rigs roll or if I need to start digging into what's under the hood.
